...it's been one month since I last did a post of any real substance, or at least one that is of the kind of thing I really hoped to do by starting this.
I'm still having trouble for the same reasons I cited before, now even more so.
But, Pat Robertson has once again goaded me to action, like he did last summer. Look for my own exegesis of the Joel text he cited in this space either later today or tomorrow.

Glad to see you blogging again. Pat Robertson is a tool, and is probably not worth the effort to contradict. Still, it could be an entertaining exercise.
Here's a heartening letter from a Presbyterian concerning Robertson.
Dear Editor:
A modest proposal in a time of great disagreement in the religious world:
Might we all be able to agree that Pat Robertson is (to coin a new theological category) "nuts."
And further agree that what he says is so embarrassing, so insulting, so presumptuous, so dangerous that we should just ignore him.
I would applaud any effort by Presbyweb to stop covering his ranting and treat him like a cartoon character who wanders the streets carrying signs proclaiming the imminence of the end of the world.
Peace,
